In recent years we have found it difficult to recruit enough Members to support our coach outings so this time we intend to change the format for Thursday. We are putting together a programme where we can use the area to investigate the connections with Shakespeare.
For those who wish to be more active, a 5 mile guided walk is being organised at a nearby National Trust property.
Should you wish not to walk so far you can take an amble in the nearby gardens and visit a magnificent house which has been owned by the Throckmorton Family for over 600 years.

Tour Leaders: Clive and Susan Danks
Assistant Leaders: to be confirmed.
We are planning a relaxing cycle tour of the beautiful Ile de Re', a small island off La Rochelle, France. The picturesque island has almost 200 kilometres of cycle paths and designated cycle lanes criss -crossing from village to village. Cycling is the only way to see many of the hidden gems on the island.
The highest point is only 20metres above sea level, so most of the paths are level with few climbs.
The Site is adjacent to the beach with stunning sunsets over the bay. Cycles of all types can be hired locally.
We intend to organise 6 or 7 tours covering most of the island with opportunity for Rally members to explore on free days. The Rally will be restricted to 10 units (maximum 20 cycling) with the equivalent of two additional units available for non cyclists. Please email for more detailed notes and to register an interest.

The Lawns Rally Park, Spalding PE12 8LN
Rally Leaders: Mollie & David Gowing,
Assistant Leaders: Mike & Heather Reed,
A rally for all members, active, less active, walkers, non-walkers, old, and not so old. However you wish to describe yourself, this is for you!
The rally site is situated near Holbeach in Lincolnshire. It has electric hook ups, water, dump facilities, minimal toilet facilities but of high standard. We will have the use of a large heated meeting room for social events and for dining. There is a fishing lake on site, lots of bird life, and easy walking to two farm shops.
There is a bus stop within a comfortable 8 minute walk. This will take you (a 10 minute ride) to the Springfield Shopping Out-let and Gardens, where Water Taxi rides are available to take you into Spalding.
Within easy reach are the towns of Kings Lynn and Wisbech and a little further away are Peterborough with its magnificent Cathedral, Sandringham, and the old fashioned seaside resort of Hunstanton.
With all this to see and do we have arranged a relaxing rally with free days for you to ‘venture out’ or ‘chill out’. We have arranged two evening meals, and two social evenings, all included in the price. If you have tasted Tracy’s desserts and cakes on our last rally here, you will know they are to ‘die for’.
Details of the Price, Booking Form and Programme will be in the next issue of the magazine.
Looking forward to seeing you all
Walking in Austria 6th to 24th June 2018
Tour Leaders for Natter See: John and Tina Walker,
Tour Leaders for Mayrhofen: Les and Jo Skinner,
Assistant Leaders: for both centres TBA
We are offering a two centre walking rally in Austria as follows:
From 6th to 16th June we will be based at Ferienparadies Natter See, Natter.
The Natter See site is a large site situated in a beautiful part of the Austrian Tyrol. It is close to the city of Innsbruck. There is much walking in the area and many walks, with guides, are provided by the site itself at no additional cost.
The terrain is not over-demanding and is well within the capabilities of most people.
From 16th to 24th June we will be based at Alpenparies,
Mayrhofen. Mayrhofen is located in the Ziller valley which is very popular for walking and skiing.
The campsite is on the outskirts of the town within easy walking distance. The town has a good selection of shops, bars and cof-fee/cake shops. For local travel we will purchase a travel ticket to use the train, the busses and cable cars to get to some of the walks.
To express an interest please Email John and Tina. We are, at this stage, seeking to establish the viability of the rally and are not yet able to determine accurate costings. So we will not be immediately asking for IRA forms and deposits.
The rally is limited to 15 units
